Shaik Reismann is the Founder and Chief Instructor of Malaya Junglecraft, bringing decades of real-world outdoor experience into practical, hands-on junglecraft and bushcraft training. His approach blends traditional knowledge, modern bushcraft principles, and strong safety practices, creating courses that are both grounded and relevant.
Deeply passionate about the jungle and the wisdom of the Orang Asli, Shaik has spent years learning and preserving traditional jungle skills, integrating this knowledge respectfully into Malaya Junglecraft’s training philosophy. His teaching emphasises understanding the environment, working with natural materials, and developing calm, confident decision-making in the wilderness.
Shaik is also a certified Wilderness First Responder & Austere First Responder, ensuring that all training is conducted with a strong focus on risk management and participant safety. His background in expedition leadership and outdoor instruction allows him to guide participants across a wide range of environments—from controlled training grounds to remote jungle expeditions and overseas bushcraft courses.
As Chief Instructor, Shaik is committed to passing on not just skills, but mindset—encouraging respect for nature, self-reliance, and the quiet confidence that comes from truly understanding how to live in the wild.

Semai Orang Asli
Raman Bah Tuin is a respected member of the Semai Orang Asli community and a knowledgeable junglecraft practitioner with deep, lived experience of the Malaysian rainforest. His understanding of the jungle comes from generations of traditional knowledge passed down through daily life—using the forest not as a classroom, but as home.
Raman’s knowledge spans natural materials, forest resources, tracking, foraging, cordage, shelter craft, and practical camp living, offering insights that can only be gained through long-term immersion in the jungle environment. His approach to junglecraft emphasises observation, efficiency, and a deep respect for the land and its resources.
Through his involvement with Malaya Junglecraft, Raman plays an important role in sharing authentic Orang Asli knowledge, helping participants understand how traditional jungle skills remain relevant today. His presence adds depth, cultural context, and real-world perspective to junglecraft training—bridging ancestral wisdom with modern bushcraft practice.
Apprentice and Junglecraft Kids Club Leader
Aqil is the youngest member of the Malaya Junglecraft team, assisting in workshops and courses across the training spectrum. Passionate about junglecraft and survival skills, he brings youthful energy, curiosity, and dedication into every session he supports.
Actively learning in the field, Aqil is deeply committed to developing his skills and understanding of the jungle environment. His enthusiasm for junglecraft goes beyond technique—he believes strongly in the mindset, discipline, and respect for nature that these skills cultivate.
Aqil’s dream is to inspire the younger generation to reconnect with the outdoors and begin their own junglecraft journey. Through his involvement with Malaya Junglecraft, he represents the next generation of wilderness practitioners—learning, growing, and helping to carry junglecraft knowledge forward.
Trainee Instructor
Ahmad Falani is a Trainee Instructor with Malaya Junglecraft, currently developing his skills and experience in junglecraft through hands-on learning in workshops and courses. While he is relatively new to junglecraft, he brings strong enthusiasm, dedication, and a willingness to learn in the field.
Ahmad has a particular passion for spoon carving, where he enjoys working with hand tools and natural materials to create functional, handcrafted items. This interest has helped sharpen his tool control, patience, and attention to detail—skills that translate directly into broader junglecraft practice.
As a trainee, Ahmad actively assists instructors during courses while steadily building his competence across all core junglecraft skills. His goal is to continue learning, refining his abilities, and progressing toward the role of a full instructor, contributing meaningfully to the Malaya Junglecraft team and its teaching ethos.
